Here’s The Daily Telegraph making a long reach to obscure a violent man’s arrest for allegedly murdering Danielle Finlay-Jones.

Danielle wasn’t killed by a dating app.

She wasn’t killed because she used a dating app.

She wasn’t killed because she was actively looking for a relationship rather than passively for man to find her or choose her.

She wasn’t killed because of anything she did or wore or said.

She was killed because a man chose to kill her.

Men have killed women they met at the village fair. Men have killed women they met at a disco. Men have killed women they met at a nightclub, a bookshop, a church, a school, a workplace, a parent’s house, a prayer meeting, and a hospital.

Men kill women because of shame, fear, rage, entitlement, power, and dominion. They do not kill women because of their meeting place.

Dating apps are not the problem. Violent men are the problem.

*Note: This man has been arrested but not yet tried in court and is therefore entitled to the presumption of innocence. Any comments assuming his guilt or innocence could endanger his trial.*
