That the alleged stabbing took place in Queensland is maybe relevant to this story, but it’s not so important that it needs to replace the person charged with allegedly stabbing the woman.
It makes no sense to include this slightly relevant detail and erase the fact that a man was charged with attempted murder over the alleged stabbing, or that he allegedly stabbed the woman multiple times, or that police “allege the charge relates to a domestic violence setting”.
It makes no sense at all, unless the intent is to hide the men who are charged with domestic violence crimes and the severity of the actions of which they are accused.
