Why, WHY, would you describe a man as the “life of the party” after he admitted to raping and murdering a child?
The Age article reports that the murderer was with the child’s mother before he committed these horrific crimes, and led with a quote from her that plays into the “but he’s such a nice guy” narrative. Why report it this way? How is it relevant to the crime, other than to perpetuate the insidious blaming of women for crimes committed by men.
