We are the silent beneficiaries of atrocity. That’s a terribly shameful thing to acknowledge and an almost impossible thing to rectify, but turning away from it is not the answer.
It’s not going to kill any white people if we do acknowledge our shame, but it is definitely going to kill more Aboriginal people if we don’t.
