The Brisbane Times reported that a man was arrested and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, “charged with attempted murder, possessing restricted items, contravening a domestic violence order and breaching bail”.Of course you would have to read to the end of the article to find out this information.
If you just read the headline, you’d think the woman cut herself, or maybe one of her passengers was juggling knives and accidentally cut her, or some other equally ridiculous event that might be an invisible and irrelevant cause of neck cuts.
This only happened yesterday and investigation is still in the very early stages. No one can say for sure exactly what happened yet, BUT the facts provided by QPS (hardly an organisation known for its feminist leanings) are that a man was arrested for attempted murder and domestic violence related offences after woman’s neck was cut in what QPS described as “a physical altercation”.
Surely that should be enough to get him a mention in the headline about the alleged crimes that led to his arrest?
