The Cairns Post reported that a man pleaded guilty to breaching a domestic violence order against a woman, who was holding their one year old child at the time.
The man claimed to police that he and the woman started pushing each other after she asked him to leave and he refused. No charges were against her were mentioned in the article. He breached an existing domestic violence order.
Erasing men who commit violence against women is an old habit of male-dominated newsrooms. Most media outlets have learned to do better. The Cairns Post, it appears, has not.
